Script Salon takes place at Ludlow House in NYC at the beginning of every month. It brings screenwriters and actors together for live readings, practical craft conversations, and thoughtful feedback. Each month focuses on a new topic designed to help writers strengthen their scripts while protecting what makes their voice their own.

A great TV pilot has two jobs: tell us a great story and make us want to come back next week.
In this Script Salon, we'll dig into what makes a pilot work. How do you introduce a world, establish compelling characters, launch a story, and show us the engine of the series without trying to cram everything into the first episode?
We'll talk about premise, character wants, the pilot story, series engine, structure, and that all-important ending that makes us need to know what happens next.
Whether you're starting a pilot, rewriting one, or trying to figure out why yours isn't quite landing yet, bring your questions. And if you're brave, bring the first 5 pages of your pilot. The first 5 submissions get workshopped.

It has truly been a highlight of my writing journey to take part in Craigās mentorship program. It came at exactly the time I needed it and gave me a huge boost of confidence, not only through the techniques I learned, but also through a powerful shift in my mindset.
Craig taught us the industry standards while also emphasizing when to throw them out and trust our inner voice. Not only did I improve my skills...
I came in wanting to get better at my craft and left with so much more than I expected. I'm more intentional with my writing now. I understand how to build strong, simple character goals that actually move the story forward ā and honestly, that shift alone changed everything for me.
