Who am I?
I’m a husband and father and I write comedies about the grounded Black family experience. My voice pays homage to families who survive and thrive with love, humor and humanity… and bacon. My writing is better with bacon.

I’m a native New Yorker, Harlem Hospital born, Bronx raised. When you have that kind of origin story, hustling is in my DNA. I’m a writer, producer, editor, and co-conspirator at Red Wall Productions, the company my wife, partner, and favorite collaborator, Rosalyn Coleman Williams, and I built together. We started with a string of quirky, heartfelt, films. More than 50 projects later, we’re still at it.

For over two decades, I’ve made it my mission not just to tell stories, but to create community. I’ve taught classes, led workshops, offered scholarships and internships, and opened doors for writers, actors, and filmmakers who just needed someone to believe in them. I’m all about giving artists the tools, and the confidence, to make their own work and tell the stories that have been sitting on their hearts.

After years of indie filmmaking, I landed on the writing staff of the hit series TERROR LAKE DRIVE on ALLBLK, an AMC streamer. I’m also a proud alum of the WarnerMedia Discovery Access Writers Program, selected as one of 20 writers from over 4,000 applicants. (Yes, I still keep that email.)

My feature screenplay Black Boys Don’t Sew was recently part of the New York Stage and Film Filmmakers’ Workshop—and has Viola Davis and Julius Tennon attached as Executive Producers. That project is a labor of love, and I can’t wait to share it with the world.

I always have scripts cooking. Some of my favorites:

  • How Ya Like Me Now – an award-winning one-hour pilot about the ‘80s Kool Moe Dee vs. LL Cool J rap rivalry

  • Christmas in the Dreamhouse – a holiday movie musical

  • The Connectors – a one-hour procedural inspired by my mom finding her long-lost sister

  • Game Nite – a feature I wrote and produced, which premiered at the 2024 Pan African and is streaming on Tubi

And I’m excited for Rosalyn’s feature directorial debut, Pulpit Playaz, a comedy about two ex-cons who start a church. I’m producing that one too—it’s going to be a blast.
